Taking its name from a photograph in the series, ‘future expectation’
was shot over the course of two hours in Glasgow, during a march
in protest of climate change.
As a protest is often a collective effort, my aim was to focus on some
of the individual aspects. Working within the confines of the march
itself, intimate moments unfolded as a sense of mutual respect loomed,
and photographing candidly revealed different responses from the
people taking part.
Eight photographs were printed for the publication, all of which were
shot on 35mm film and digitally scanned. Undersized A4 format, saddle
stitched with a hard back recycled cover, embossed with the title.
